Management Committee

The Management Committee was established to oversee the operation and set due diligence practices for the IACN. The following are brief biographies of the current office holders and additional Management Committee Members.

  • Adj Prof Pieter Rossouw
    Adj Prof Pieter Rossouw PRESIDENT

    Pieter is a Director of the Mediros Unit for Neuropsychotherapy and the Neuropsychotherapy Institute – companies that provide training in Neurobiology and Neuropsychotherapy. He is also an Adjunct Professor in brain-based education at the Central Queensland University. Currently he is involved in development of training resources in the fields of neurobiology and neuropsychotherapy as well as clinical training and supervision for clinicians, psychologists and general practitioners.

    Pieter has been in private practice for the past 25 years. He holds Honours Degrees in Philosophy and Psychology, a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and a PhD. Pieter is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. Pieter was a Professor in Clinical Psychology in South Africa and has also taught at universities in Canada and Holland. Pieter specialises in Neuropsychotherapy and specialises in anxiety and mood disorders. He has published six scientific books and more than 60 scientific articles. He has been involved in research in extensive clinical trials and presented research papers at 40 International Conferences worldwide. Pieter’s latest book, Neuropsychotherapy: Theoretical Underpinnings and Clinical Applications was published in 2014 and his previous book, BrainWise Leadership, was published in 2013 and was co-authored with Connie Henson. He is a member of the Global Association for Interpersonal Neurobiology Studies, a member of the editorial board of the International Journal for Neuropsychotherapy and Chief Editor of The Neuropsychotherapist.

  • Jonathan Wills
    Jonathan Wills SECRETARY

    Jonathan worked for six years in Brisbane as a specialist smoking cessation counsellor. He completed his Masters Degree in Counselling at the University of Queensland in 2013. In 2013 Jonathan assisted with editing and compiled the subject index and glossary for Connie Henson’s and Dr Pieter Rossouw’s publication BrainWise Leadership. In 2014 he was Project Manager and contributed Chapter 8 for the publication edited by Prof Pieter Rossouw Neuropsychotherapy: Theoretical Underpinnings and Clinical Applications.

    He commenced his private practice Talk To Me Therapies in Brisbane in 2013 and currently volunteers at the Queensland Homicide Victims Support Group (QHVSG) co-facilitating regular support group meetings.

  • Andrea Rossouw
    Andrea Rossouw TREASURER

    Andrea is a qualified and registered clinical psychologist. She has been practicing for more than two decades. She attained her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology (with distinction) in South-Africa and continued (while working full-time in private practice) to complete her PhD in Psychology. Andrea has extensive experience working in mental health and community settings as well as private practice, both in South-Africa and in Australia.

    Since her migration to Australia in 1999 she has also provided services for the Department of Community Services in NSW, the St John of God Private Health Service and the Cerebral Palsy Alliance in Sydney.  For the past five years she worked part-time for the Department of Communities in Queensland and also jointly set up the Mediros company. Andrea is a PBA approved Supervisor and was providing supervision for provisionally registered psychologists until 2015. More recently Andrea has decided to dedicate her energy fulltime in Mediros Pty Ltd where she runs the general operations of the company.
